About the role
We are seeking a Director of Engineering IT to lead Engineering IT for the India region, while actively contributing to global strategy and initiatives. This role is responsible for delivering high-performance, scalable, and resilient engineering infrastructure and platforms that support semiconductor design and product engineering workflows.
The role combines end-to-end regional ownership with strong global collaboration, playing a critical part in driving transformation, standardisation, and operational excellence across geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Own and lead Engineering IT and IT Engineering Operations for the India region, ensuring alignment with global strategy, standards, and operating models
Partner with US and global leaders to contribute to Engineering IT strategy across HPC, EDA, cloud, and infrastructure modernization
Oversee high-performance compute environments (compute, storage, grid, networking) and ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient delivery of engineering infrastructure services
Drive and execute transformation initiatives such as EDA-to-cloud migration, hybrid HPC strategy, and AI-driven operations
Ensure operational excellence through strong service management, SRE practices, monitoring, incident management, and capacity planning
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve design cycle times, tool performance, and overall user experience
Lead and contribute to cross-regional programs, ensuring effective execution and stakeholder alignment
Build and lead a high-performing India-based team across engineering infrastructure and operations, aligned to global priorities
Establish and track KPIs for infrastructure utilization, performance, cost optimization, and service quality aligned with global benchmarks
Manage regional budgets, vendor relationships, and contracts in alignment with global sourcing strategies
Engage with regional and global leadership to provide updates on operations, risks, and strategic initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in Engineering IT / infrastructure, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
- Strong expertise in HPC environments (compute, storage, grid scheduling, networking)
- Good understanding of EDA tools and semiconductor engineering workflows (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens EDA)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and hybrid infrastructure models
- Proven experience contributing to global programs and cross-regional collaboration
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, ServiceNow, and SRE practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams and complex programs
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive presence
