Commonwealth Fusion Systems
85 jobs
Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has the fastest, lowest cost path to commercial fusion energy. CFS is collaborating with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with new groundbreaking high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. HTS magnets will enable compact fusion power plants that can be constructed faster and at lower cost. CFS is now building SPARC, the world's first commercially relevant, net energy fusion demonstration device. SPARC will pave the way for the first fusion power plant, ARC, that will produce power on the grid. The ultimate mission is to deploy fusion power plants to meet global decarbonization goals as fast as possible. CFS has assembled a team of leaders in tough tech, fusion science, and manufacturing with a track record of rapid execution. Supported by the world’s leading investors, CFS is uniquely positioned to deliver limitless, clean, fusion power to combat climate change.
Lilac Solutions
68 jobs
Lilac Solutions has developed a new ion exchange technology to address the challenges faced by lithium producers. Lilac's technology cuts capital and operating costs, accelerates project startup, boosts lithium recovery, and unlocks new resources. Their process is modular and can be ramped up quickly through pilot and commercial projects. Lilac is a mining technology company and is building partnerships with brine developers and operators around the world.

Celestial AI, formerly Inorganic Intelligence, is creating the most impactful AI computing solutions for the benefit of humanity.
The Routing Company
17 jobs
The Routing Company is an on-demand vehicle routing and management platform that partners with cities to power the future of public transit. Made up of MIT researchers and ride-share industry veterans, The Routing Company builds smart, sustainable transit solutions that are more reliable and accessible than other mobility options.
Sublime Systems
13 jobs
Sublime Systems is developing a breakthrough process to make carbon-neutral cement. The technology replaces the industry's legacy fossil-fuel intensive thermal calciner process with an electrochemical process that produces carbon-neutral lime at ambient temperatures with renewable electricity. Sublime was started in 2020, as a spin-out of Yet-Ming Chiang's lab at MIT (Form Energy, A123, American Superconductor, 24M, Desktop Metals).
Radix Labs
13 jobs
Radix Labs makes an operating system for biology. We enable biologists to describe their process at a high level and we'll automatically program their lab robots for them.
Syzygy Plasmonics
10 jobs
Syzygy Plasmonics is commercializing a radical new technology developed at Rice University. Our technology enables us to turn traditional catalysts into high efficiency photocatalysts. This conversion allows us to produce chemical reactors that are powered by light instead of burning fuel and operate at up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit lower temperature than conventional chemical reactors. Through this we can dramatically reduce the cost of chemicals produced while simultaneously reducing emissions associated with their production. Currently we are capable of performing multiple different chemical reactions and plan to enter the market with photocatalytic steam methane reforming to generate hydrogen gas. Hydrogen gas made through our process will reduce costs for industry and also help enable the expansion of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle market.
Via Separations
10 jobs
Via Separations offers a more modular and resource efficient separation solution enabled by novel membrane materials. By pioneering a new filtration membrane based on graphene oxide for fine liquid filtration in challenging environments, the material platform improves selectivity between key nanofiltration solutes and can operate with dramatically increased temperature stability, solvent resistance, and oxidizer tolerance. Physical separations have the potential to reduce the 15% of total US energy consumption used for evaporation and distillation-based separations by a factor of 10. Spun out of the Grossman Group at MIT, Via Separations is poised to be among the first to produce commercial graphene oxide-based products that will extend the boundaries of liquid filtration.
Mori
7 jobs
Mori is a developer of an edible and natural biomaterial coating that extends the shelf life of perishable foods. It uses salt and water to extract the protein from natural silk and creates a protective layer that keeps food fresher for longer enabling it to economically and sustainably transform the food supply by developing and commercializingtechnologies for the food, agriculture, and packaging industries.
Biobot Analytics
5 jobs
Biobot Analytics develops cutting-edge technology to transform sewers into public health observatories. Wastewater contains valuable information about the health of communities. We collect it. We analyze it. We tell you how to leverage it to make your city better. Our first product is to measure opioids and other drug metabolites in sewage to estimate consumption in cities. With this data, those working on harm reduction can assess the scope of the epidemic, allocate resources, and gauge the effectiveness of programming over time.
