At Marvell Coherent DSP solutions, we design leading-edge high-performance integrated circuits that are shipped into top major hyper-scale and telecom networks worldwide.

You will be part of a highly skilled company that designs, simulates, implements, and validates DSP ASICs.

Our team in Córdoba is responsible for validating the chip's electrical input and output interfaces, ensuring that the specifications align with those outlined in the datasheet. We validate against industry standards and various communication protocols, applying stress conditions such as temperature and voltage variation to guarantee proper functionality. This work contributes to optimizing chip performance and/or power efficiency, while ensuring signal quality.

We operate two high-technology laboratories, one located in Córdoba and another in California, where validation activities are carried out. We connect to the lab equipment remotely and also design and implement custom test procedures, integrating instruments such as DCA, BERT, ONT, UXR, spectrum analyzers, and sine wave generators, among others.

What You Can Expect

As our Validation Engineer, you will:

  • Work actively with the digital communications system design flow

  • Implement test automation & validation protocols

  • Work in the laboratory using measuring instruments and hardware validation tasks oriented to optical communications

  • Deliver results and reports in a clear, concise, and descriptive manner for our and other teams

  • Participate in validation tasks for Test, hardware, Design, and Firmware engineering teams.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Debugging skills to identify and resolve bugs and firmware issues.

What We're Looking For

Education:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related fields, or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge and exposure to theories, principles, and concepts

Technical Knowledge:

  • Python experience - Oriented to test automation and data processing

  • Skilled in solving complex problems, organized, self-driven attitude, and detail-oriented

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Experience with SVN and GIT file revision control

Desirable:

  • Knowledge in optical communications, digital signal processing, and protocols applied to communications

  • Acquaintance with digital system design flow

  • Experience in personal or professional projects

  • Knowledge of database manipulation

  • Experience in handling laboratory instruments using measuring instruments is highly valued

Skills:

  • Looking for a proactive person willing to work in an environment of continuous learning. It is necessary to have individual and group work skills.

Languages:

  • English: Good communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Spanish: Native or fluent
