About Marvell
Marvell’s semiconductor solutions are the essential building blocks of the data infrastructure that connects our world. Across enterprise, cloud and AI, and carrier architectures, our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities.
At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.
Your Team, Your Impact
As Generative AI continues to advance, the performance drivers for data center infrastructure are shifting from systems-on-chip (SOCs) to systems of chips. In the era of Accelerated Computing, data center bottlenecks are no longer limited to compute performance, but rather the system’s interconnect bandwidth, memory bandwidth, and memory capacity. Photonic Fabric™ is the next-generation interconnect technology that delivers a tenfold increase in performance and energy efficiency compared to competing solutions. What You Can Expect
- Serve as the Asia-based on-site technical interface for optical component vendors, supporting the integration, qualification, and manufacturing readiness of optical components and sub-assemblies.
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact with external vendors to coordinate optical component development, fabrication, assembly, and delivery activities.
- Provide hands-on vendor support to identify, track, and help resolve optical component integration, manufacturing, and yield issues in coordination with internal engineering teams.
- Work closely with vendors to define, execute, and track component development and build plans, including samples, data delivery, corrective actions, and schedules.
- Review and validate vendor-provided process flows, inspection data, and test results for completeness and consistency against requirements.
- Track component build status, risks, and issues, and communicate concise, outcome-focused updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support component qualification and change control activities, including process changes, deviations, and rework coordination.
- Ensure timely escalation of technical or schedule risks, with clear problem statements and recommended next steps.
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in optical component suppliers, FAEs, NPI, or manufacturing engineering roles.
- Experience supporting process qualification, pilot builds, or production ramps of optical components.
- Working-level understanding of optical components and assemblies, such as fibers, lenses, FAUs, optical submodules, laser modules and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with optical performance metrics (e.g., insertion loss, alignment tolerance, yield trends).
- Experience working directly with external vendors or contract manufacturers, preferably in Asia, supporting development, NPI, or production ramp activities.
- Experience working across time zones with U.S.-based engineering teams.
- Ability to interpret optical drawings, specifications, and basic performance data, and to identify inconsistencies or risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, vendor-friendly working style.
