Your Team, Your Impact
The intern will be supporting the team in Architecture research and in developing tools to increase efficiency and accelerate the ASIC architecture teams through AI based automation.What You Can Expect
We are looking for a motivated and talented undergraduate student to join the Custom Solutions Architecture team as an ASIC Architecture Intern. This is a part-time role, designed to run alongside your studies, offering hands-on exposure to real-world chip architecture work at one of the world’s leading semiconductor companies. You will work alongside experienced architects on cutting-edge projects, gaining practical experience in architecture exploration, tooling, and the application of AI techniques to accelerate architectural definition.
Architecture Exploration
Participate in early-stage architecture exploration for ASIC design initiatives
Evaluate architectural trade-offs across performance, power, area, and feasibility dimensions
Document findings and contribute to architecture specifications and internal reports
Tooling Development
Develop Python-based tools and scripts to support the architecture team’s workflows
Automate repetitive analysis tasks and improve team productivity
AI-Driven Architecture Acceleration
Explore and apply AI and LLM-based tools to accelerate architecture definition and exploration
Prototype AI-assisted workflows that improve speed and quality of architectural analysis
What We're Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a B.Sc. program in Electrical Engineering, having completed at least two years of study
- Hands-on programming experience - Python proficiency is required.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, functional code for analysis or automation tasks
- Familiarity with AI based coding tools and a curiosity to apply them in new domains
Advantage
- Prior software engineering experience or personal projects demonstrating strong coding ability
- Experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib)
- Basic understanding of digital design or computer architecture concepts
- Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-powered development tools
