Marvell's Data Center Networking (DCN) Business Group develops the technologies powering next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure, including Ethernet switching, optical interconnects, scale-out networking fabrics, custom silicon, and the software platforms connecting hundreds of thousands of accelerators across hyperscale data centers.As Associate Vice President, Chief of Staff & Head of Business Operations, you will serve as the strategic partner and force multiplier to the EVP of Data Center Networking. Reporting directly to the EVP, you will combine the influence of a Chief of Staff with the operational leadership of a senior business executive—helping shape organizational priorities, accelerate decision-making, and drive disciplined execution across a complex global organization spanning engineering, product management, operations, finance, sales, and customer-facing teams. This is a highly visible leadership role based fully onsite at Marvell's Santa Clara headquarters, where close partnership with senior executives and cross-functional leaders is critical to success.
Sitting at the center of one of Marvell's most strategically important businesses, you will directly influence the execution of the company's AI networking strategy. Your ability to align leaders, drive operational excellence, and translate strategy into measurable business outcomes will help accelerate the delivery of the networking infrastructure powering the AI era.
What You Can Expect
Strategic Planning, Alignment and Execution
- Support the EVP in formulating and executing the Data Center Networking strategy in line with Marvell’s corporate goals and translating into measurable business outcomes.
- Lead the operating cadence cycles of the organization, ensuring alignment across strategic priorities, product roadmaps, investments, and execution plans.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives that accelerate growth, improve operational performance, and strengthen organizational effectiveness.
Extending the reach and Effectiveness of the EVP
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the EVP, helping shape priorities, evaluate business-critical decisions, and drive execution across the organization.
- Prepare executive-level communications, board materials, strategic reviews, and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the EVP is fully prepared for customer engagements, board reviews, executive staff meetings, strategic/corporate planning sessions, earnings-related activities, All Hands Meetings and other high-profile interactions.
- Partner closely with leadership team members to surface issues early, resolve cross-functional challenges, align stakeholders, and maintain organizational focus on key priorities.
- Represent the EVP in leadership forums, governance reviews, and decision-making processes as appropriate, driving follow-through and accountability on critical actions.
- Lead executive operating mechanisms and business reviews that provide visibility into performance, enable informed decision-making, and accelerate execution against strategic objectives
Lead Business Operations Delivering Operational Excellence
- Own the organization's business operating model, including strategic planning cycles, operating mechanisms, governance frameworks, KPI management, and organizational performance processes.
- Partner closely with Finance leadership to lead budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, investment prioritization, and ensure teams have the necessary tools, technology and staff to meet goals.
- Drive operational excellence by designing and scaling processes, systems, and rhythms that improve execution effectiveness across global teams.
- Data driven reporting that establishes metrics, dashboards, and ensuring executive business reviews provide actionable insights, enable data-driven decision-making, and drive accountability for results.
- Proactively identify organizational risks, execution bottlenecks, and business challenges, implementing solutions before they impact strategic objectives or operational outcomes.
- Ensure organizational investments, resources, and priorities are aligned with corporate strategy, growth objectives, and financial commitments.
- Build governance models that balance speed, transparency, and accountability while enabling effective cross-functional decision-making and execution.
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment, Transformation & Strategic Execution
- Build trusted partnerships across Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and HR to align priorities, accelerate decision-making, and drive accountability across the organization.
- Lead high-impact, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives from conception through execution, ensuring delivery against objectives, timelines, quality expectations, and business outcomes.
- Establish governance mechanisms, operating rhythms, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to provide visibility, measure progress, mitigate risks, and ensure successful execution of critical business priorities.
- Champion organizational transformation and operational excellence by driving adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working that improve scalability, transparency, and effectiveness while preserving organizational agility.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, urgency, and continuous improvement across teams and functions.

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in business operations, program management, product management, engineering leadership, strategic planning, management consulting, or related executive-level roles.
- Proven success operating within large-scale semiconductor, networking, cloud infrastructure, AI, enterprise technology, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience influencing executive stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives in highly matrixed organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted, confidential relationships with senior executives and a track record of delivering direct, unfiltered counsel when the situation demands it.
- Strong business, financial, and operational acumen.
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
- Experience leading global cross-functional teams and managing complex strategic initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment where priorities evolve rapidly.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, Master's degree, or equivalent advanced degree.
- Prior formal experience as a Chief of Staff, Head of Business Operations, or equivalent role supporting a C-suite or senior executive in a technology organization.
- Experience in semiconductor technology, networking systems, switching architectures, cloud infrastructure, AI platforms, optical networking, or high-performance computing.
- Experience working directly with executive leadership teams or C-suite leaders.
- Deep understanding of business planning, organizational design, financial management, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Technical fluency sufficient to engage effectively with engineering and product leadership teams.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)
224,460 - 336,300, $ per annumThe successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
