Cypher's first go-to-market hire. Own the entire commercial motion from zero — pipeline, positioning, sales, and partnerships — and turn early traction into a repeatable revenue engine. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the CEO, carry the mission into every customer conversation, and help define a new category of AI-native infrastructure for science. What you'll do: - Own the full go-to-market motion end to end: outbound, inbound, content, events, partnerships, and account-based plays targeting biotech, pharma, synthetic biology, service providers, and lab ops leaders. - Sell Cypher's mission — carry the story into demos, calls, and pilots, and turn customer conversations into closed pilots and the messaging, case studies, and decks that win the next ones. - Own positioning and the category narrative — make a deeply technical product understandable and compelling vs. Benchling, legacy ELN/LIMS, internal scripts, and AI copilots. - Build pipeline and revenue from zero: define ICPs and target accounts, run the funnel from first touch to signed pilot, and scale what converts. - Stand up the GTM infrastructure — CRM, automation, attribution, segmentation, funnel dashboards — and the brand presence (site, launches, thought leadership) behind it. What we're looking for: - 5–8+ years in go-to-market, sales, demand generation, product marketing, or full-stack revenue roles at an early-stage B2B company. - You can both sell and market: comfortable on a customer call and writing the copy, decks, and outbound that fill the pipeline. - Strong grasp of the full funnel — pipeline, conversion, CAC, attribution — and the systems to track it. - You sell a mission, not just a feature set, and get energy from being early and building a category. - Comfort operating with limited resources and high ambiguity, working directly with founders, with deep ownership. - Plus: life sciences / biotech / scientific software / B2B SaaS background; first or early commercial hire experience.
