Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Strategic Supply Manager to join the team at Form Energy reporting to Form Energy’s Vice President, Strategic Supply. Our Strategic Supply organization is a small and high performing team within Form focused on enabling the next generation of product and scale of key starting materials. We operate at the cross section of business development and supply chain, serving as a partner across Supply Chain, Operations, and Tech. As Form Energy scales manufacturing, this role will be critical to identifying, managing, and delivering on success with supply chain partners and outside collaborators key to enabling scale and mass-production of Form’s batteries.

What You'll Do:

  • Own Form’s engagements for industry and R&D collaborations focused on critical supply areas, setting overall strategy and direction among the executing teams and managing or coordinating internal/external efforts accordingly.
  • Partner with Form’s Policy team to develop and match potential supply chain projects with relevant funding opportunities; working cross-functionally within Form and with outside entities to define and deliver project scope and objectives.
  • Lead and/or manage collaborative programs with external partners, help to build the team capability to support Form’s needs.
  • Identify new market opportunities, collaborations, and business models focused on enabling scale of supply.
  • Consult technical teams on partner capabilities and market perspective related to targeted areas of supply development.
  • Work cross-functionally to negotiate or support successful negotiation of agreements in collaboration with Form’s Policy, Supply Chain, R&D, and/or Commercial teams.
  • Develop and enable transition plans with supply chain, engineering, or other commercial negotiations.
  • Lead transition efforts to assure smooth integration with broader company operations.
  • Periodic travel to Form, supplier, and partner sites, at times up to 50%

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 8 years in a business development, project and/or program management role in a start-up or fast-paced tech company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related, MBA a plus
  • Experience working in a growing R&D and manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of the metals and mining industry; knowledge of business models and connections to equipment manufacturers and major players across the value chain a plus
  • Ability to navigate all levels of the organization to understand current and upcoming needs, cross-prioritize initiatives and communicate expectations
  • Customer oriented mindset with a focus on finding creative solutions to problems in order to enable the business
  • Demonstrated track record in applying influence and delivering on initiatives cross-functionally or with limited reporting authority, finding creative ways to “get it done”
  • Top-notch communications skills
  • Experience with government business development and/or program management, proposal generation and management of government funded programs
The salary range for this role is $124,320 - $176,255. The range listed is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and may be modified in the future. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
