Position Summary

Matrisome Bio is looking for a part-time biotech strategy consultant to support a strategy project centered on pipeline strategy, competitive landscape (current and future), market size estimate, strategic partnering, risk assessment, financial analysis, value proposition, and product development. The initial phase will be for 12-16 weeks, with an option for an extension. The project will conclude with a final recommendation and optimal framing. You will work directly with the CEO, advisors, and external consultants. We are accepting applications on a rolling basis, with a start as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate

• Motivated by the company's mission to advance breakthrough therapies for diseases with high unmet needs.

• Applicants should possess a combination of an undergraduate degree in life sciences and an MBA or be currently enrolled in an MBA program, or hold an advanced degree (MS or PhD) in life sciences, bioengineering, or a related field

• 2+ years of experience in biotechnology, ideally in a strategy, BD or translational role, or in biotech consulting or venture capital.

• Experience in oncology is a plus.

• Outstanding analytical mind with attention to detail without losing sight of the larger goals and context.

• Proactive and self-motivated, while also taking directions well or seeking directions when needed.

• Able to present and communicate effectively to senior stakeholders.

This role is a unique opportunity to support an early-stage startup founded by world renowned experts in ECM biology, oncology, and bioengineering. This is a part-time position of <10 hours per week with an on-site discussion at least once a month based in Cambridge, MA.
