Osmo is a digital olfaction company, on a mission to give computers a sense of smell to improve the health and wellbeing of human life. Why? Our sense of smell both enriches and saves lives, and has a deep and direct connection to our emotions and memory. Vision and hearing have been digitized, but not scent. It’s time we solve this. We’re bringing an unprecedented combination of software, data, hardware and capital to the historic challenge of giving computers a sense of smell.

We believe in the power of automation and carefully applied AI/ML to solve problems that are beyond what the unaided human mind can tackle on its own. In the first phase of our development, we are using our map of odor along with cutting-edge generative AI to create the next generation of aroma molecules (e.g., the ingredients in the fragrances we wear and the products we use). Beyond fragrance machine olfaction has application across many industries, including manufacturing, military, medicine, and more. Working for Osmo means solving problems using digital olfaction for these customers. We're a hybrid company with a laboratory and center-of-mass in New York, NY and offices in Somerville, MA.

Osmo is looking for a Software Product Manager to join our rapidly growing team. We are relentlessly focused on understanding customer problems and where we can create value on our path to achieving our mission. This role will own the strategy and execution of core product within our AI platform.

  • Capable of being a thought partner to Engineering to prioritize work from an understanding of the customer and business objectives,

  • Continuous prioritization of work based on a focus of using data to continually create value for our customers,

  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple projects in a startup environment,

  • Take ownership and accountability in your work, be tenacious and delivery focused, chipping in on other tasks as needed.

Key Requirements

  • 3-5 years of software product management experience at a technology company,

  • Demonstrated track record of building high-growth products from the ground up,

  • Experience working with machine learning based products and the technical fluency required to partner closely with our ML/Engineering teams,

  • Nice to have: SQL proficiency, data analysis in Python; chemistry, entrepreneurial experience,

  • Willing to work in our office in Manhattan, 3-5 days a week,

  • US work authorization.

Salary Range: $155,000 - $200,000
