Roca Water

Roca Water is developing a low-cost, sustainable electrochemical approach to harness valuable resources from ocean water, wastewater, and other salty water sources. Our solution is based on innovations in conventional rechargeable batteries and applies the principles of battery electrodes to enable selective ion removal and recovery from water to directly produce a suite of mineral-based products. At the core of our technology is an innovative electrode fabrication method developed at the University of Wisconsin-Madison that combines extreme chemical and physical durability with high ionic selectivity.
