XGenomes is developing a radically new DNA sequencing technology that will revolutionize personalized healthcare. We watch single-molecule interactions at optical super-resolution, down to a few nanometers and use artificial intelligence to decode sequence and epigenetic states.We are looking for a data science intern with knowledge of biochemistry to join our team for a 6-month co-op in-person in Cambridge, MA, to work on simulations, data analysis and algorithms in conjunction with generating experimental data.We look forward to reading your application at this link!Responsibilities- Further development of super-resolution imaging data analysis pipeline- Conduct simulations and experiments to train machine learning models- Systematically analyze data to gain insights for optimizing the efficiency, reliability, and data quality of experiments- Work with our engineers to test and optimize assay scale-upEssential Qualifications- Ability to design, develop, test, and document software or data analysis tools- Experience with bioinformatics, computational simulations, or analysis of large datasets, ideally in Julia, Python, or MATLAB- Foundation in biochemistry, including DNA/RNA molecular structure and interactions- Willingness to learn new skills, communicate across multi-disciplinary team, and document progressNice-to-haves- Experience designing and performing molecular biology or chemistry lab experiments- Familiarity with machine learning methods, including deep learning and image processing techniques- Ability to conduct in-depth literature reviews to identify technical solutions
