About the role

We are seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to build a knowledge graph ontology related to quantum computing and design and develop a user-interactive web application supporting it. The role focuses on building intuitive user interfaces, translating complex data structures into accessible and relevant experiences, and integrating AI-enabled application features. Prior experience in quantum computing is not required.

This position offers a high level of individual ownership and is well-suited to engineers who are comfortable working independently within a small, focused team. You will be asked to boldly experiment with cutting-edge technologies to unlock breakthrough performance and deliver outsized impact in a rapidly evolving marketplace. This position is classified as exempt under applicable wage and hour laws and requires the regular exercise of independent judgment and discretion in the design and development of software systems.

What you'll do

  • Design, architect, build, and improve a modern, user-interactive web application, including making decisions regarding system architecture, frameworks, and technical approaches
  • Integrate AI-driven features such as intelligent search, recommendations, or contextual assistance
  • Independently analyze complex technical problems and develop scalable, maintainable software solutions
  • Lead and contribute to architectural and product decisions, exercising independent judgment in selecting tools, technologies, and design patterns
  • Deliver high-quality software with minimal supervision, demonstrating autonomy in execution and technical decision-making
  • Design and develop clean, intuitive UI/UX solutions for navigating complex technical content
  • Design and implement backend systems, data models, and APIs to support complex application functionality

Qualifications

  • 6+ years experience
  • Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with a focus on back-end architecture
  • Efficiency-driven, with a willingness to adopt new AI tools to maximize productivity
  • Demonstrated experience building user-facing web applications
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled application workflows or integrations
  • Ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal oversight
  • Design and implement backend systems, data models, and APIs to support complex application functionality
  • Willingness to learn new technical domains as needed
  • Familiarity with of UI/UX principles and product usability
